Kia has officially revealed the GT versions of the cee'd and pro_cee'd ahead of their Geneva arrival programmed for tomorrow.
Both cars share the same 1.6-liter GDi turbo engine producing 204 HP (150 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque. They have a fuel consumption of 7.4 liters / 100 km (31.7 mpg US or 38.1 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 171 g/km.
Linked to a six-speed manual transmission, the cars will do 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). 60-100 km/h (37-62 mph) in fourth gear takes 5.4 seconds, while 80-120 km/h (50-74 mph) in fifth gear takes 7.3 seconds. They need 8.8 seconds in sixth gear from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 120 km/h (74 mph).
The 2013 Kia cee'd GT and pro_cee'd GT are fitted with an aggressive body kit with deeper bumpers, revised front grilles, lamp clusters, four-point LED daytime running lights, dual exhaust pipes, red calipers and 18-inch alloys. Inside they have Recaro seats, alloy pedals, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and different surface materials.
Kia is launching a 1st Edition of the pro_cee'd GT limited to 500 cars which will feature several bespoke interior and exterior styling tweaks. Other goodies include automatic air conditioning, adaptive xenon headlights, sat-nav and sunroof.
