These are the first spy photos with the upcoming Mazda3 which will probably go on sale sometime next year.
Set to adopt some design cues seen on the CX-5 and Mazda6, the new generation of the Mazda3 will feature the firm's Kodo design language and hopefully will look a lot like the alleged leaked photos we've seen in October last year.
Various sources indicate the car will use the CX-5's platform which means it should lose hundreds of pounds compared to the current generation. It will feature the firm's Skyactiv array of technologies and will probably be offered with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine with 155 hp (116 kW) for the U.S. market. A range-topping Mazdaspeed3 is also rumored to be in the works.
