Ssangyong has released the first teaser images of the 2014 Rodius (aka Stavic and Korando Turismo).
The Ssangyong Rodius (aka Stavic and Korando Turismo) has always been a bit of an eyesore, but thankfully the next-generation model will eschew the depressing design.
Developed over the course of two years, as the A150 project, the new Rodius adopts a "Robust, Premium, Specialty" design philosophy. As such, the model features a rounded front fascia with larger headlights, a revised grille and a sculpted hood. There's also a full-length character line, a familiar greenhouse and wraparound taillights.
Detailed performance specifications were not released, but Ssangyong confirmed the model will be offered with a 3.2-liter petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. Nothing is official, but the latter mill will likely develop 155 HP (114 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque.
The redesigned Rodius will go on sale shortly, so look for a possible debut in Geneva.
