The owner of a Bugatti Veyron tested the performances of his supercar.

The test was conducted on a closed road in the United States on a straight stretch of public road where the Veyron was able to unleash its 1,001 HP (736 kW). Video footage shows the Veyron was able to reach a speed of 218 mph (351 km/h), but the person who uploaded the clip says the car managed to hit 233 mph (375 km/h).

The regular Bugatti Veyron is rated with a top speed of 253 mph (407 km/h), while the production version of the Super Sport can do 258 mph (415 km/h). The unrestricted variant of the SS was capable of setting a new land speed record of more than 268 mph (430 km/h) at the Volkswagen Group's Ehra-Lessien track near Wolfsburg, Germany.

As previously reported, Bugatti is preparing a Veyron Super with 1,600 HP (1,177 kW) which should enable it to set an unbelievable top speed of 290 mph (446.7 km/h).
