Hyundai has released more details about the interior cabin of the HCD-14 Genesis Concept.

Perhaps the most interesting concept developed recently by Hyundai is the HCD-14 which serves as a preview for the next-generation Genesis. Showcased earlier this month at NAIAS, the HCD-14 has a high-tech interior featuring eye-tracking and gesture-recognition controls which are aimed at reducing distracted driving.

By pressing a button on the back of the steering wheel, four icons will appear at the windshield's bottom in a head-up display showing phone, audio, temperature and navigation controls. A sensor mounted in the steering wheel is capable of tracking the driver's eye movements as he chooses one of the icons by looking at it and then releasing the button.

If temperature is chosen, the driver must place his hand in front of the dashboard (without touching it) and then he rotates back and forth to set the desired temperature. This can be done thanks to another sensor installed in the roofliner.

More details are available in the press release below.
