Infiniti will offer the Q50 with a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and a diesel in the future.

In an interview given to AutoWeek, Ben Poore head of Infiniti for the Americas said these options will be available in two years, along with an all-wheel drive variant for the hybrid model. The turbo 4-cylinder will come from the collaboration between Renault-Nissan and Daimler, with Infiniti getting a power unit derived from the one used in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The diesel engine will also come from Daimler and will be available at first only in Europe. Infiniti's president Johan de Nysschen said "we're reflecting on the U.S. market" when asked about the availability of this power unit.
