Set to debut tomorrow in Detroit, Cadillac has released several teaser photos of the 2014 ELR.

It will be a sporty two-door coupe with styling inspired from the Converj Concept resulting in a "dramatic design with industry-leading extended range." The car's chief engineer Chris Thomason has mentioned the ELR will have bespoke features that will "change the way people think about luxury and electrification."

The production model will come with an electric motor, a 4-cylinder engine-generator and a lithium-ion battery. It will run primarily in electric mode but will use the conventional engine whenever the battery level is low.

Slated to go into production later on this year, the 2014 Cadillac ELR is estimated to carry a starting price of 55,000 USD.

Check back tomorrow for full details.
