Mugen is world renowned for their tuning program for the Honda Civic, but the firm is changing things up by introducing a CR-V concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Looking fairly conservative, the crossover is equipped with a new front fascia that incorporates a revised grille, LED fog lights and aluminum accents. Out back, the changes are less noticeable but include a new bumper and a roof-mounted spoiler. Last but not least, the concept has extended fender flares and 20-inch aluminum wheels.

Interior changes are limited but include leather seats and carbon fiber trim.

Detailed performance specifications were not released, but Mugen says the model has been outfitted with a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and a dual exhaust system.
