Chrysler has introduced an updated Uconnect infotainment system at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

First and foremost, certain systems will come with the ability to be upgraded with GPS navigation. When activated by a dealer, the infotainment system will become a fully-fledged navigation system with lane guidance, points of interest and speed-limit information.

There's no word on pricing but the navigation upgrade will initially be offered on the 2013 Ram 1500, SRT Viper and 2014 Fiat 500L.

In related news, Chrysler has added "Uconnect Access Via Mobile" to their infotainment system. It will enable users to stream internet radio - Aha, iHeart Radio, Pandora Internet Radio or Slacker Radio - through the car's speakers using a smartphone data plan.
