According to a recent report, the next-generation Scion xB and xD will be introduced at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
New details are starting to emerge about Toyota's future product lineup.
Speaking with Automotive News, Toyota U.S. Division Group Vice President Bill Fay said "If we don't have the Matrix, it won't be the end of the world." This likely means the slow-selling hatchback will disappear faster than Keanu Reeves' career after the Matrix - likely when the next-generation Corolla is introduced in the fall of 2013. While the Matrix could be dropped in the United States, Canada is slated to get a redesigned version of the model.
Fay went on to say the company doesn't have any plans to introduce a crossover to slot beneath the RAV4. According to the executive, "The RAV is as small as we want to get. It meets all or most of our customer needs in that segment. We're fine."
In related news, Fay confirmed the next-generation Scion xB and xD will be introduced at the 2013 New York Auto Show. He also revealed the brand will launch a variety of special editions to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
