Nissan managed to raise a total of 193,191 USD after the online charity auction organized on eBay from November 22 to December 4.

The money came from selling the "Bolt Gold" Nissan GT-R and related autographed accessories. All the funds obtained will be donated to the Usain Bolt Foundation for "creating educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people" in Jamaica.

The car itself was sold for 187,100 US to an Australian bidder while an additional 6,091 USD were obtained from selling nine items of Bolt merchandise, including racing helmets, driving suits and boots.

Nissan previously mentioned they plan on developing a special GT-R Bolt Edition that will be sold globally.
