MG is celebrating Jason Plato's third place finish in the British Touring Car Championship by introducing a special edition MG6 BTCC.

Available exclusively in Arctic White or Union Blue, the special edition features a unique exterior with BTCC badging, MG KX Momentum Racing decals and a matte black roof. There's also chrome fender vents and 18-inch alloy wheels with Dunlop Sport tires.

Interior changes are limited but the model comes nicely equipped with sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and GPS navigation.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 1.8-liter petrol engine that develops 160 HP (118 kW). It enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 8.4 seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h).

According to MG UK’s Sales and Marketing Director, Guy Jones, “We are delighted to be back at the pinnacle of British motorsport in BTCC with the MGKX Momentum team. It has been a great first season for MG and the team and the BTCC Edition is designed to celebrate our return to top level motorsport."

The MG6 BTCC Edition is currently on sale and U.K. pricing starts at £16,995.
