This year’s theme of the annual Design Challenge will be a 2025 highway patrol car.
As previously reported, several important automakers like BMW, Honda, General Motors and Subaru have confirmed plans to participate. All these interesting concepts are envisioned to use “advanced powertrains, alternative fuels, telemetrics and new sizes to effectively navigate dynamic urban environments.
All entries will be judged by:
- Tom Matano, executive director, School of Industrial Design at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University;
- Imre Molnar, provost and chief academic officer at Detroit’s College for Creative Studies;
- Stewart Reed, chair of Transportation Design at Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design.
- Bruce Meyer, board member of the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation
The winner of the Design Challenge 2025 will be announced on November 25.
