Audi has started producing the Q7 in India where they plan on making up to 1,000 units per year for the local market.

Audi has started producing the Q7 in India at the company’s Aurangabad factory.

They plan on producing up to 1,000 units to supply the local market. The full-size SUV is being manufactured at a newly built 215,288 square feet (20,000 square meters) facility at VW Group’s Skoda Auto India Private Limited. This is the place where they will also produce the Q3 starting in mid-2013.

In the first ten months of the year Audi has increased its sales in India by 55 percent, delivering 7,273 cars compared to the 5,511 cars sold last year. They plan on opening 25 dealerships by the end of 2012, joining the other seven that were opened in the last few months.

In India, Audi is selling the following models: A4, A6, A7 Sportback, A8 L, Q3, Q5, Q7, S4, RS5 Coupe, TT Coupe, R8 and R8 Spyder.
