MINI has announced plans to attempt a new Guinness World Record by assembling the longest Christmas list for Santa Claus.

In order to achieve this goal, the company will involve several key markets including Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The company will also deliver letters to Santa in a convoy of MINIs that includes the Clubman, Countryman, Cooper hatch / cabrio, Coupe and Roadster. The convoy will leave BMW Group Headquarters on November 24th and travel more than 3000 km (1864 miles) to Rovaniemi, Finland in the Arctic Circle. When they arrive, they will be greeted by Rauno Aaltonen, the winner of the 1967 Monte Carlo Rally, who will "demonstrate his unequalled talent behind the wheel of a new MINI Paceman."
