Jaguar has already received more than 2,000 orders for the new F-Type that will go on sale next year.
This number represents almost a third of the 6,000 to 7,000 units the British brand is planning to sell in 2013. Most orders come from European customers, but most likely the F-Type’s largest market will be United States.
In UK prices start from 58,500 pounds for the entry-level variant, followed by the S at 67,500 pounds and the V8 S at 79,950 pounds. US customers get the same three versions, priced at $69,000, $81,000 and $92,000, respectively.
As a reminder, the base model comes with a V6 3.0-liter supercharged engine with 340 hp (250 kW), while the S model has the same engine tweaked to output 380 hp (279 KW). The flagship V8 S variant is powered by a newly developed V8 engine with 495 hp (364 kW) and 461 lb-ft (625 Nm). All three engines are connected to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission.
