Renault has released the first details about the 2013 Fluence, ahead of its debut at the Istanbul Motor Show.

Recently previewed by the Renault-Samsung SM3, the facelifted model has a new front fascia with a Clio-inspired grille and LED daytime running lights.

Interior changes are limited but include a digital instrument cluster and revised upholstery. The car can also be equipped with a passive entry system, Bluetooth/USB connectivity and the Renault R-Link infotainment system.

Under the hood, there's a new 1.6 16V 115 engine that is connected to an X-Tronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). It enables the model to average 6.4 L/100km (36.7 mpg US / 44.1 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 149g/km.

The car can also be equipped with a dCi 110 EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) or a new 1.6-liter dCi 130 engine which averages 4.6 L/100km (51.1 mpg US / 61.4 mpg UK) and has CO2 emissions of 119 g/km.

The Fluence will go on sale in Turkey early next year, before being offered in more than 55 international markets.
