Looking for the perfect tow rig for your RTR Mustang? Look no further.
Professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his company, RTR Vehicles, have been producing high-performance Ford Mustang variants since 2011. They've also released individual parts that allow Mustang owners to personalize their own cars.
Now, they're turning their attention to the Ford F-150. Like the RTR Mustangs, the RTR F-150 has aggressive styling with performance to match.
Unlike the more hardcore Raptor, the RTR F-150 seems more than content to be a great all-around truck, useful for everything from off-road fun, to on-road performance, to towing. In fact, it might be the perfect tow rig for RTR Mustang owners who trailer their cars to shows.
The exterior styling upgrades consist of an RTR graphics package, RTR fender flares, grille, and front skid plate, and LED lights. RTR's 20" Tech 6 off-road wheels are shod with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires for an aggressive, rugged look and superior performance both on and off road.
Further contributing to the truck's rugged look is the Fox 2.0 coilover shock system, which in addition to improving all-around performance, also appears to offer a mild lift, from what we can see in the press photos. The RTR F-150 is also fitted with a Ford Performance cat-back exhaust for a more aggressive tone.
Inside, each RTR F-150 receives a numbered dash plaque, signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr. The RTR package is available for all trim levels of the F-150, excluding the Raptor. Those who start with lower-spec F-150s can opt for a special package that includes leather seats embroidered with the RTR logo, while trucks that already have leather will retain their stock upholstery.
All RTR F-150 buyers are also treated to RTR-branded all-weather floor mats, as well as the requisite RTR fender badges. The RTR package starts at $12,750 on top of the price of a new F-150.
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, APRIL 23, 2019 — After a successful decade of developing and producing the Ford Mustang RTR—as well as RTR’s line of aftermarket parts that compliment Mustang owners who want to stand out from the crowd—the new Ford F-150 RTR becomes RTR’s second publicly available vehicle model outfitted with RTR’s signature modern-aggressive design and enhanced performance that is available to consumers from RTR Vehicles. The F-150 RTR package is now available at select Ford dealers in regions where the F-150 is sold. The F-150 RTR launch follows the soon to be released collaboration with Ford performance, ‘The Series 1 Ford Mustang RTR Powered by Ford Performance’.
Inspired by the incredibly popular F-150 Ultimate Fun-Haver and the award-winning F-150 RTR Muscle Truck, the F-150 RTR joins the RTR Vehicles lineup for 2019. Available for all F-150 trim levels (excluding the Ford Raptor), the F-150 RTR increases the functionality and enhances the overall design; offering capability both on and off the road; having fun or making the daily commute.
“Ford’s Iconic F-150 has evolved into so much more than just a pickup truck, with diverse capability on and off road, great technology integration, serious towing capability and an interior that makes any travel with friends and family very comfortable,” said RTR Vehicles’ President and RTR’s resident Professional Fun-Haver, Vaughn Gittin Jr. Gittin continues, “We [RTR] felt the time was right for us to bring all the things our Mustang RTR owners have grown to love into the truck market. I cannot wait for my fellow truck lovers everywhere to see just how capable and fun the F-150 RTR is whether you are road tripping with the family, carrying supplies or shopping bags, doing some towing, enjoying the trails and roads less traveled, or spraying roost during some off-road excursions. The goal was to take the already impressive capabilities of the F-150 and enhance the owner and driving experience whether on or off-road.”
The RTR exterior design package includes signature RTR upper grille with LED lighting, modern aggressive fender flares to catch the rocks and mud RTR expects its owners to toss in the air, a beefy off-road ready front skid plate and a unique graphics package. The interior proudly displays a serialized dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr. and an optional RTR-designed and branded leather interior for those customers that want to build from a less optioned F-150.
Tasteful and tested performance modifications allow the driver to feel the road, hear the power and conquer whatever life, or their lifestyle, throws at them. Fox 2.0 Coilover and Shock package; a Ford Performance cat-back sport exhaust for an enhanced sound and excellent driving experience; along with custom 20-inch RTR Tech 6 Off-Road wheels in satin charcoal wrapped in off road capable—yet on-road compliant—Nitto Ridge Grapplers offer the best of both worlds. The F-150 RTR is a multi-purpose machine capable of performing a wide range of tasks.
The new F-150 RTR is available to order now and package pricing starts at $12,750, which can be added to any F-150 trim level (excluding Raptor). Visit RTRVehicles.com to build your F-150 RTR today.
