Gumpert has reportedly found a new investor which will bring the automaker out of insolvency.

2012 has been a rough year for specialty automakers as Melkus and Gumpert have both filled for insolvency. Thankfully, there's some good news as the latter company has reportedly found a new investor.

Dutch magazine Auto Visie is reporting that several investors were interested in the company and the automaker recently picked the candidate they were most comfortable with. There's no word on who the mysterious investor is, but an employee has confirmed the Apollo will live on.

When asked about a potential deal, a spokesperson said "We cannot say anything about the future prospects of Gumpert." Despite this, Auto Visie says an official announcement will be made soon.
