Four years ago Caterham launched the Superlight R500 and now they are back with its successor. The R600 is the quickest Caterham Seven race car ever and can be yours if you are willing to spend 44,995 pounds. For this money you’ll get a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine that produces 275 hp (205 kW) and it represents the first Seven to feature forced induction technology.
The power unit generates peak torque of 200 lb-ft (270 Nm), representing a 13 percent increase in comparison to the outgoing R500. All that power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
The Caterham Superlight R600 comes with a Titan limited slip differential and a choice of Avon radial slicks or wets. It is important to mention that R300 owners will have the possibility of upgrading their cars to the latest R600 specification.
