Hyundai and Cosworth have joined forces for a special version of the Genesis Coupe that will be showcased at the 2012 SEMA show.

Hyundai has decided to team up with Cosworth for the development of this Cosworth Genesis Racing Series (CGRS) concept that will be on display at this year’s SEMA show which will occur at the end of the month.

The car is powered by the same direct-injection V6 3.8-liter engine but after the British company worked its magic the power unit is now capable of producing an extra 41 hp (30 kW) and 30 lb-ft (40 Nm) of torque, increasing the total output to 389 hp (290 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 325 lb-ft (440 Nm) at 5,100 rpm. Other than that, the Genesis Coupe has also received a sports suspension and brakes provided by Cosworth.

As you can see from these renderings, the car is wearing a bespoke satin-gloss blue paint finish and comes with an integrated rear spoiler, gunmetal lightweight racing wheels, an aero front splitter and a blackout rear diffuser.

Hyundai also mentions that on the inside it has bespoke seats, steering wheel, gear shifter and a special trim.
