Fisker has been putting out fires left and right, quite literally, but the company has finally announced some good news - they have raised over $100 (€77.4 / £61.9) million in new funding.

The money will be used for "continued product development, market expansion and a new global marketing campaign for the Fisker Karma." Despite sounding rather mundane, the funding means the company can continue working on the production version of the Atlantic concept which is facing significant delays.

In a statement, Henrik Fisker said "The latest financing arrangements mark an important milestone for Fisker. We are now poised to invest in the next generation of extended-range battery electric luxury cars and another chapter in the fast-paced expansion of Fisker Automotive, and are demonstrating our commitment to long-term success."
