Infiniti was considering a production version of the Emerg-e concept - even going as far as building a working prototype for the Goodwood Festival of Speed - but CEO Johan de Nysschen has confirmed the model won't be green-lighted.

Speaking at the Paris Motor Show, de Nysschen said "The Emerg-e is not planned for future production at all, but it does offer an insight into our future powertrains and design direction." The executive went on to say the 2014 G-Series will be influenced by the Emerg-e, particularly with the interior.

It remains unclear why Infiniti decided against a production version of the Emerg-e concept, but previous reports have indicated executives weren't sure if it would be able to deliver the performance expected from a halo model.
