Peugeot has introduced in Paris the limited edition 208 GTi that will be made in 54 units.

Local automaker Peugeot has brought to the Paris Motor Show the limited edition 208 GTi which is being showcased next to the 208 TYPE R5 and the Onyx concept. A total of only 54 units will be made, with 29 cars heading to the UK. All cars will be individually numbered and will feature 17-inch carbon onyx black alloys covered by 205/45 tires.

Under the hood will be a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine that develops 197 hp (147 kW) and a maximum torque of 203 lb-ft (275 Nm). Mated to a six-speed, close-ratio manual gearbox, it helps the car hit a top speed of more than 140 mph (225 km/h). It features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear, along with updated anti-roll bars and recalibrated dampers.

The 2013 Peugeot 208 GTi will enter production next April, with deliveries commencing in May.
