Daihatsu has introduced at the Indonesian Motor Show the Ultra Functional Compact (UFC) Concept.
For this year’s Indonesian Motor Show, Daihatsu’s local subsidiary ADM – Astra Daihatsu Motor has brought the UFC Concept. UFC doesn’t stand for Ultimate Fighting Championship as it refers to Ultra Functional Compact.
The vehicle can accommodate up to six people divided into three rows, while the seats can be arranged in a multitude of ways. As you can see from these images, the Daihatsu UFC Concept has extremely short front and rear overhangs, but it does have a long wheelbase to provide generous room inside the cabin. There’s no B-pillar because Daihatsu wanted to provide the passengers an easier way to get in and out of the car.
Various reports are indicating that the some of the styling cues seen on this concept will be borrowed by the next generation of the Xenia or the Avanza. If there will be a production version, it will probably be a seven-seater model.
