Nissan has unveiled the e-NV200 panel van concept at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany.
Designed to preview a production model, the concept has familiar styling with a Leaf-inspired front fascia for improved aerodynamics. It also has a versatile interior that can hold 4.2 cubic meters (148.3 cubic feet) of cargo.
Motivation is provided by a lithium-ion battery which powers an electric motor that develops 109 PS (80 kW / 107 hp) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. Detailed specifications haven't been released, but the battery can be given an 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes thanks to a "Quick Charge" system. The battery can also be used to power tools and equipment which could make the e-NV200 an ideal vehicle for mobile restaurants or workshops.
Nissan also announced the production model will be offered in three configurations: a panel van, a passenger carrying shuttle / taxi and a family-oriented version which will apparently be called the Evalia.
