The owner of a standard BMW M5 (F10) has performed the quarter mile in 11.78 seconds.
The owner of a stock BMW M5 (F10) decided to take his hot sedan to the local drag strip the other day. He completed the initial run in 11.92 seconds at 119 mph (191.51 km/h) while after getting used to the car’s launch control. Then he tried once again, achieving a time of 11.78 seconds at 119 mph. He mentioned on BimmerPost that he hasn’t made any sort of modifications to his car. This white BMW M5 had the stock tires and air pressure, while all of the runs were done in the comfort suspension setting.
As a reminder, the latest BMW M5 is equipped with a V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine that develops 552 hp (412 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The engine is linked to a 7-speed M double clutch transmission that allows the car to do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) or 190 mph (305 km/h) when fitted with the M Driver’s Package.
