The Huet Brothers have released new details about their upcoming HB Coupe.
Available in three different configurations (Coupe, Coupe Road Racer and Coupe Race), the model features retro-inspired styling and a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that weighs less than 100 kg (220 lbs).
Despite the old school charm, the car has modern amenities such as heated front seats and a touchscreen infotainment system. Customers can also order carbon fiber, aluminum or wood trim.
Under the hood, two different engines will be available. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 170 PS (125 kW / 168 hp) which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds. Likewise, the Cosworth 2.0-liter four-cylinder develops 255 PS (188 kW / 252 hp) which enables the car to hit 100 km/h in less than four seconds. Regardless of which engine is selected, both are connected to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential.
If everything goes according to plan, a limited production run of 40 units will be built in 2014. They are currently available for pre-order and pricing starts at €67,800.
