A mule of the upcoming fourth generation of the Ford Galaxy has been spied while undergoing testing in Europe.

Back in 1995 Ford launched the first generation of the Ford Galaxy and now the MPV is in its third generation that debuted in 2006. The car we see in these spy shots is most likely a test mule for the upcoming fourth-gen model that will be out sometime in the second half of next year.

This could simply be a facelift for the current model but most likely it’s the new generation because in 2011 we saw some spy photos of a test mule, meaning that the all-new model should be announced in the months to come. In the upcoming winter season we will probably get to see full body prototypes.

The new version of the five-door MPV is going to retain its front-wheel drive, front-engine configuration and it will be available with a wide array of EcoBoost and diesel engines, as well as a hybrid powertrain.
