According to a recent report, the Bentley Mulsanne will be launched in 2014 or 2015

New details are starting to emerge about the Bentley Mulsanne Convertible.

Autocar says the model will likely be green-lighted later this year and could be launched in 2014 or 2015. It will reportedly have a bespoke interior and cost more than £275,000 ($436,500 / €347,125).

The convertible will be based on the sedan, but ride on a wheelbase that has been shortened by approximately 150mm (5.9 inches).

Power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V8 engine with 505 hp (377 kW / 512 PS) and 752 lb-ft (1020 Nm) of torque. However, it could eventually be replaced by a new V12 engine.

Production is targeted at 250 units annually and most of them will be destined for the United States.
