Nissan has created a special edition of its Micra city car in collaboration with the fashion magazine ELLE. Scheduled to go on sale in the United Kingdom at the beginning of next month, this will be limited to only 500 units and will have a starting price of 12,000 pounds. It will feature a panoramic glass roof, chrome interior handles, chromed accents to the grille’s lower part, roof spoiler and fog lamps.
The Nissan Micra ELLE will ride on 15-inch titanium alloy wheels and it will be available with a choice of three colors: Alabaster White, Shiraz Red and Atlas Blue. One of the optional features would have to be the Nissan Connect integrated satellite navigation system.
Based on the Micra Acenta, this special ELLE edition is offered with either a 3-cylinder, 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 79 hp (59 kW / 80 PS) or with the 1.2-liter DIG-S gasoline unit that develops 96 hp (71 kW / 98 PS) and has CO2 emissions of only 99 g/km. This power unit has a peak torque of 104 lb-ft (142 Nm) and allows the car to do the 0-62 mph sprint in 11.3 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h).
