Renault Megane R.S. 265 introduced in Australia, with pricing starting from AUD $42,640

After introducing the Megane R.S. 265 in UK back in February, Renault has brought the hot hatch to Australia where it’s scheduled to go on sale towards the end of the month. Compared to the Megane R.S. 250, the new version adds 15 hp and 20 Nm, for a grand total of 265 hp (197 kW / 268 PS) and 265 lb-ft (360 Nm) coming out of that 2.0-liter turbocharged engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

As standard, the model comes fitted with Renault Sport’s Cup chassis with a limited slip differential. It rides on a new set of 18-inch black alloy wheels and can be fitted with the optional R.S. Red Design Pack that includes red pin-striping for the F1 blade, rear diffuser and the side protective moldings. Speaking of the front fascia, the R.S. 265 now comes with two rows of six LEDs and chrome highlights while the front headlights masks have been darkened.

Prices for the Renault Megane R.S. 265 start from AUD $42,640.
