A 1960 Ferrari California 250 LWB Spider Competizione has been sold for over $11 (€8.9 / £7.0) at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The car comes from Sherman Wolf, who bought the model from its original owner in 1979. It was sold to an anonymous collector who fell in love with the car's styling and exclusivity.

While the California was the highlight of the action, a 340 MM Spider sold for approximately $4.5 (€3.6 / £2.8) million. There was also a 1985 288 GTO that went for $1 million (€813,075 / £636,945).

Besides the auction, Ferrari delivered a tailor-made FF to British golfer Ian Poulter.
