Slovenian sports car maker Tushek has announced this week that the Renovatio T500 will make its first public appearance in the United Kingdom on September 5th at the Salon Privé. This is a hand-built, made-to-order vehicle that costs 300,000 Euros and is powered by an Audi-sourced V8 4.2-liter engine with 444 hp (331 kW / 450 PS) and 316 lb-ft (428 Nm) of torque.
The power unit is linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox that allows the 2498 lb (1133 kg) roadster to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.7 seconds, on its way to a top speed of more than 193 mph (310 km/h). This mid-engined Renovatio T500 rides on 19-inch forged alloys wrapped around in Pirelli PZero Corsa rubbers.
Some of the car's highlights include the carbon fiber / composite bodywork, carbon ceramic brakes and the removable roof. We should mention that it's based on the K1 Roadster kit car and rides on a chrome-moly steel tube chassis.
It all sounds good on paper, but with such a steep price tag most people that have this sort of cash will opt for something coming from a reputable company.
