Vauxhall revealed today that the new Adam will make a public appearance next month at the Paris Motor Show. On September 27 when it makes its debut at the car show, Vauxhall will open the preorder books, with the first units scheduled to arrive in the UK early 2013. In Paris the Adam will be shown in all three trim levels: Jam, Glam and Slam.
No confirmed info about the price tag of the car, but it is expected to start from a little over 11,000 pounds. What we do know is that it will be offered exclusively with gasoline engines, starting with the 1.2-liter unit that delivers 69 hp (51 kW / 70 PS), along with a bigger 1.4-liter with 86 hp (64 kW / 87 PS) or 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS).
As standard, all the engines will be linked to a five-speed manual gearbox and will benefit from the stop/start system. About 12 months from now, the Adam will be offered with Vauxhall's new 3-cylinder, 1.0-liter gasoline engine, along with an all-new 6-speed transmission.
