Ford Performance Vehicles announced today the fastest Falcon ever made, the new GT RSPEC Limited Edition Series. The car is motivated by an aluminum Miami BOSS V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine that delivers 449 hp (335 kW / 455 PS) and a peak torque of 420 lb-ft (570 Nm). It comes with a significantly recalibrated suspension package, launch control system and wider rear wheels with 275/35 R19 Dunlop Sports Maxx tires.
The rear suspension of the vehicle benefits from re-tuned dampers, higher spring rates, reinforced rear lower control arms, larger anti-roll bars, while the front suspension is equipped with re-tuned dampers, stiffer front upper suspension strut mounts and stiffer upper control arm bushes. Thanks to the stiffer transmission mounts, the movement of the engine and driveline is diminished under load, which in return improves the ride quality.
On the outside it draws its inspiration from the 1969 Boss Mustang, while the Mustang's popular C-stripe is replicated with a "335" identifier in the stripe, along with a bespoke accent package for the lower and upper grille surrounds, mirror scalps, fog lamp bezels, black painted exhaust tips and the high performance spoiler with GT decal. Inside it has Shadow leather seats with the "GT" logo embroidery, as well as a piano black finish for the door spears, tissue box and the ICC unit.
FPV said that they'll make only 350 units of this GT RSPEC Limited Edition Series which will be available in four color combinations, with prices starting from AUD $76,990 exclusively at participating FPV dealers.
