Monster Sports has officially unveiled the E-Runner Pikes Peak Special. It will be driven by renowned racer Nobuhiro Tajima.
Monster Sports has officially unveiled their new E-Runner Pikes Peak Special.
Developed specifically for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the car features a carbon composite body and an aircraft-inspired jet canopy. It rides on an aluminum space frame and has all-wheel drive as well as high-performance brakes.
Motivation is provided by a lithium-ion battery which powers two electric motors. Specifications weren't released, but the car posted times of 4:14.786 and 4:13.343 during yesterday's practice runs.
The E-Runner will be driven by Nobuhiro 'Monster' Tajima who was won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for six consecutive years and eleven times since 1988.
