Hyundai Australia has introduced the Veloster SR Turbo, with prices starting from AUD $31,990.

Hyundai's Australian branch has unveiled the Veloster SR Turbo that costs AUD $31,990 for the version with the 6-speed manual gearbox or AUD $33,990 for the one with the six-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood of the hot hatch there's the 4-cylinder, twin-scroll turbocharged T-GDI 1.6-liter Gamma that pumps out 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 195 lb.-ft. (265 Nm) of torque. This allow the SR Turbo to provide 46% more peak power and 60% more maximum torque compared to the standard Veloster and the Veloster +.

As far as fuel consumption is concerned, with the manual gearbox it will consume 6.8 liters / 100 km, while with the automatic transmission it will do 7.6 liters / 100 km. CO2 emissions stand at 163 g/km for the manual and 181 g.km for the Veloster SR Turbo with the automatic gearbox.

The Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo features an Australian-tuned suspension and steering, and it rides on 18-inch alloys fitted with 215/40 R18 tires. As standard, the car comes with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen display, six airbags, Vehicle Stability Management with Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control System. It also has a rearview camera, daytime running lights, push button start with proximity smart key and an automatic climate control air conditioning system.
