Ram has announced plans to offer an updated Outdoormans model.
Based on the 2013 Ram 1500, the truck is available in two cab sizes (Quad and Crew) and two bed lengths (5 ft. 7 in. and 6 ft. 4 in.).
Pictures were not released, but the model features a two-tone exterior with Mineral Gray bumpers, body-color accents and special badging. There's also 17-inch aluminum wheels with 10-ply "LT" tires.
Interior changes are limited, but the Outdoorsman comes nicely equipped with cloth seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an infotainment system. Options include heated front seats, GPS navigation and a premium audio system.
Power comes from a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with 395 hp (295 kW / 400 PS) and 407 lb-ft (551 Nm) of torque. It can be connected to a six-speed automatic transmission or the company's new "TorqueFlite 8" gearbox. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but four-wheel drive is optional.
Besides the aforementioned equipment, the truck has a limited-slip differential, heavy-duty shock absorbers (on 4x4 models), a class IV hitch and a trailer-sway control system.
