Ferrari has announced plans to attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for having the largest parade of Ferraris.

The record breaking attempt will take place on September 15th at the Silverstone Circuit during Ferrari Racing Days. So far, over 1000 cars have registered to take part in the event.

Ferrari will also be donating £5 ($8 / €6) for every car to the BEN charity which supports British autoworkers and their families who have fallen on hard times.

As you may recall, the original record for having the largest Ferrari parade was set five years ago when 385 cars participated in a similar event. However, that record was later eclipsed by a parade of 490 Ferraris.

Ferrari Racing Days take place on September 15th and 16th and allow fans to watch historic and modern Ferraris race for as little as £15 ($23 / €19) per day.
