Scheduled to go on sale in September 2013, this might be the production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Up until now we have seen several spy shots with the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder but all of them were prototypes, including the latest version that was wearing the Martini Racing livery which was confirmed for the production model.
We don't know for sure if this is really the final production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder since it looks pretty much the same as we have seen before, without the racing stripes as this one has a simple silver finish. As you would expect, the exhaust is mounted on the top of the engine cover but this time it's wearing a silver paint.
We remind you that the Porsche 918 Spyder will feature a V8 4.6-liter engine and a hybrid drivetrain with all-electric capabilities. The engine will be linked to a dual-clutch PDK transmission while the total power output will be of approximately 770 hp. It will come with two electric motors, one sitting on the front axle while the other one between the mid-mounted engine and the transmission. Although it will be a proper supercar, the 918 Spyder is expected to return 78 mpg.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is scheduled to go on sale in September next year.
