General Motors has announced that the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will have a starting price of $60,445, including the $900 destination charge.

The soft-top version of the Camaro ZL1 Coupe is motivated by a supercharged V8 6.2-liter engine that can deliver 580 hp (432 kW / 588 PS) and 556 lb.-ft. (752 Nm) of torque. The Camaro ZL1 Convertible needs 4 seconds to do the 0-60 mph sprint en route to a top speed of 148 mph (296 km/h). 

The Camaro ZL1 Convertible is the direct competitor of the Ford Shelby GT500 ($59,995) which can provide 650 hp (484 kW / 659 PS) and 600 lb.-ft. (812 Nm) of torque.

In related news, General Motors also revealed the price tag for the 2013 Camaro 1LE. It starts at $37,035 with the $900 destination charge included. As for the ZL1 Coupe, this has the same engine as its Convertible counterpart and is available from $60,445, making it $5,450 more expensive compared to the 2012MY.
