AC Schnitzer has released some pretty impressive tuning packages, but we never expected them to expand into the bizarre world of automaker-backed merchandise. However, they have by introducing a modified BMW M Carbon Racer.

Described as an impressive demonstration of the potential of weigh reduction, the model has been equipped with a variety of carbon fiber components including the crank, saddle support and wheels. This enables the bike to weigh 6.9 kg (15.2 lbs) instead of the usual 7.9 kg (17.4 lbs).

According to AC Schnitzer, the modified bike offers improved dynamics and reduced strain on the rider.
