Mercedes has announced the C-Class range has received a range of updates that includes the introduction of a new Executive SE, AMG Sport and AMG Sport Plus trims as well as a new engine for the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY.
The engine in question is a new 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged that produces 154hp and 250Nm of torque. When employed in the coupe variant, the engine returns fuel efficiency figures of 44.1 mpg and 149 g CO2/km. The German company has also chosen to reserve the 3.5-litre V6 engine for the coupe body style, discontinuing its use in the sedan and estate.
The new Executive SE trim comes with a sports grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels, Artico upholstery and LED daytime running lights and it can also be enhanced with the Elegance trim option that includes the three louver grille with bonnet-mounted star and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The existing Sport trim has been replace by the AMG Sport and AMG Sport trims. The latter of which includes 18-inch bi-colour AMG alloys, bi-Xenon headlights, AMG sports seats, Black Artico/Dinamica upholstery with contrast red stitching and silver gearshift paddles (automatic only).
All updates are immediately available in UK showrooms with pricing starting at £25,915. See the press release below for full details.
