Anyone looking to configure their own BMW 1-Series now can, thanks to BMW's German web site.

BMW 1-Series fans have reason to rejoice.  BMW's German web site now has a 1-Series configurator up live on its web site.

The new configurator can be found by going to, and clicking on the "1" at the top left of the screen (for "1-Series").  Next step, click on "BMW 1er Coupé", bringing out a dropdown menu.  Select "BMW 1er Coupé konfigurieren" and you're on your way.

We built ours in Sparkling Graphite Metallic, with 18" 261 M rims, red leather interior, and aluminum trim.  In the end, the car looks pretty hot.  Plenty of different combinations are available on the site right now.  You can see our step-by-step screenshots in the photo gallery.

The BMW 1-Series Coupé is anticipated for Spring 2008 production, with two versions available to the eager public.  BMW's 128i Coupé runs on a 3.0 liter, 230 horsepower, inline six engine with 200 ft-lb of torque.  The 135i is a step up, having a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six, getting 300 horsepower and 300 ft-lb of torque at 1,400 rpm.  The 135i will reportedly go 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
