The three-door Leon is will likely take the SC (Sport Coupe) suffix and is said to have a shorter wheelbase and a sweeping roofline.
When Seat unveiled the striking IBE Concept in 2010 we were told it would preview the new generation Leon. However, we didn't get the same aggressive sport stance when initial details of the five door version were released earlier this week. That disappointment can now turn to anticipation as sources have confirmed the three-door version will in fact take on the sporty body style of the pre-production concept.
It is a breath of fresh air in the Seat line-up. The brand originally tried to shamelessly pass off the three door Ibiza as a coupe back in 2008, but the model was nothing more than a hatchback and a big disappointment.
The three-door Leon is will likely take the SC (Sport Coupe) suffix and is said to have a shorter wheelbase and a sweeping roofline. The Leon series will also be joined by the ST (Sport Tourer) estate variant in the not too distant future.
