This includes both the standard version as well as the AMG infused performance model, meaning US customers will have to make do with just the four-door coupe body style.

A company spokesman for Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the new CLS Shooting Brake will not be heading for US shores. This includes both the standard version as well as the AMG infused performance model, meaning US customers will have to make do with just the four-door coupe body style.

European customers will be able to get their first taste of the model in October when the first units arrive in dealerships.

The wagon body style creates additional luggage space in the trunk that measure 590 liters or 1550 liters when the rear seats are folded away.

It will launch with two diesel engines producing an entry level 204 PS (150 kW / 201 hp) and 265 PS (195 kW / 261 hp) as well as two petrol units producing 306 PS (225 kW / 302 hp) and a range topping 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp).
