The launch of the 2013 Ford Mondeo has been delayed by a number of "internal" problems.

Production was scheduled to begin in April 2013, but the company is having issues related to homologation and specification levels. This will cause the model's launch to be delayed by up to three months, so expect sales to begin between May and June of next year.

As we have previously reported, the Mondeo will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. It is virtually identical to the Ford Fusion and features inflatable rear seatbelts. Engine options remain unconfirmed, but choices are expected to include a 1.6-liter EcoBoost with 179 hp (133 kW / 181 PS) and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost with 237 hp (177 kW / 240 PS).
