The 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition, which will be available through Ford Dealers in early 2008, will be among 3dCarbon’s featured show vehicles at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Also available as body kit
Last year at the 2006 SEMA show Ford asked Chip Foose, the legendary hot-rod designer, to work his magic on the Ford F-150. 3dCarbon was called in to manufacture the body kit for the 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition, which is limited to 1,500 units. The Foose F-150 will go on sale early next year and shortly after 3dCarbon will start selling a separate bolt-on Foose F150 body kit. The Ford F-150 has been voted by SEMA to be the 'most accessory friendly pick-up'.
The 8-piece body kit will consist of a front air dam, 3-piece side skirts and a lower rear skirt. The kit will fit on any '06 - '08 F-150 and will make the car look lower than it actually is. Chip Foose: “How the vehicle sits and how the wheels are proportioned to the body is the first essence to give it the illusion of something lower than it is.”
The show car is based on the Ford F-150 FX2 equipped with of course the 3dCarbon body kit but also a intercooled and supercharged Triton V8 engine producing 450 hp with 500 pounds/foot of torque, several suspension modifications and a Ford Racing exhaust system. The showcar sits on 22 inch Foose wheels with P275/45R22 tires and has a Foose 'autographed' leather interior.
