High demand for the 2011 Land Rover Defender XTech Limited Edition has prompted LR to extend the special edition into the 2012 model year in the UK.
Although basically the same as the 2011, the 2012 model features a unique Orkney Grey or Nara Bronze exterior, black roof and headlamp surrounds, black Saw Tooth 16-inch alloy wheels with MTR off-road tires, wheel arches and black checkered plate along the bumper and sills. Inside, the black leather is complimented by Land Rover logo embossed front headrests and an exterior matching central switch panel.
Standard equipment includes air conditioning, ABS, traction control, central locking with remote control and heated seats and windscreen. The Defender XTech Special Edition is available in both 90 Hard Top and 110 Utility Wagon plus a range of accessories are available.
The XTech Special Edition uses a 2.2-liter diesel engine with six-speed manual transmission. The Defender generates 260 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque for highly competant off-road driving or easy towing.
The Defender XTech Special Edition receives a hefty £3,000 price hike to £27,995 and goes on sale from July.
